Lead Volunteer (Woolwich)

As a Lead Volunteer, you’ll help keep the shop running smoothly when managers aren’t around.

Detailed Description

Lead Volunteers are vital to our retail team. By helping keep our shops open when staff aren’t there, support other volunteers, and make sure day-to-day activities run well. You’ll also create a welcoming space for everyone who visits or donates. Tasks include: Keep the shop safe, secure and clean, opening, closing, and banking the day’s money when needed; Follow our cash handling rules, including exchanges and refunds; Ensure H&S rules are followed and report incidents on online system; Take donations, promote Gift Aid, use the till, answer phones, price items and answer customer questions.

Time Commitment

We offer a variety of flexible shifts to fit around your situation, but we would require a minimum of 2 hours a week and for this role, we may sometimes need your help at set times, but we’ll always try to work around your availability. We do ask for a regular commitment so you can stay up to date with shop activities and procedures.
