Mencap
Visit someone 6 times a year and make a difference to the life of someone with a learning disability
We are looking for a female volunteer to befriend a lovely, social lady with a learning disability in Ladbrook Grove. She’s a fan of all things arts and crafts, particularly jewellery making, nail painting and colouring. She would love a visitor to spend time with being creative at home, or to take walks to a local café, or to join her and the care team on one of their weekly cinema trips. Visitors visit six times a year to create a 1-2-1 connection, offer companionship, encourage people to do the things they enjoy and check-in on their wellbeing.
