We hope that you will be interested in becoming a trustee for Women + Health. We are looking for a female trustee with fundraising experience with a charity or foundation, or comparable skills working in business. We already have one Fundraising Trustee. We would look for the Second FundraisingTrustee to craft narratives about W+H and advise on and implement how to o keep the narratives straight o do ‘market segmentation’ o engage with and market to the segments o develop a local supporter base (preferably go out and about and do some of this). We would also look for this trustee to work with the existing Fundraising Trustee and help with/take the lead on the Management Committee with respect to our fundraising strategy, fundraising events and fundraising with corporates and high net worth individuals, as well as developing our supporter base. It would be beneficial if the trustee had an existing network for fundraising. The trustee would also comment on or contribute to draft funding applications. The Fundraising Trustee would participate in monthly evening fundraising subcommittee meetings which may be weekly or biweekly when preparing for a fundraising event. These meetings run up to 1.5 hours. The trustee would work together with the Director of Women + Health, staff and the Management Committee of trustees some times during working hours. The trustee would also participate in bimonthly general Management Committee meetings that are held in the evenings for two hours. It is expected that the trustee would spend two to three hours a week in this role. We aim to have a range of different client voices on our board so would particularly welcome applications from survivors of domestic and sexual violence, people with experience of using complementary and alternative medicines, people with disabilities, carers, people with experience of counselling and therapy and/or mild to moderate mental health issues and people from minoritised communities.
