Detailed Description

Our Telephone Volunteers are the friendly voice which our guests, volunteers, donors and general public hear when they get in touch. They play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone who gets in touch with us. As a telephone volunteer you are responsible for answering the general telephone line in a friendly manner, responding to queries with accurate information, and triaging calls to relevant staff members where applicable. You will use Microsoft Office to assist with completing this. This position requires excellent communication skills!

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Good IT Skills

Why these skills are required

We need volunteers who: - Are a friendly, empathetic and non-judgemental character. - Are confident communicating with people over the phone and with people without a shared first language - Are able to work independently, seeking the support of staff when necessary. - Have an understanding of confidentiality - Have good IT skills, including an understanding of Microsoft Office. - Have access to a laptop, smart phone and internet connection.
