Community Shop Volunteer

Support in our Community Shop to ensure guests receive the essential food that they need.
As a Community Shop Volunteer, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for our guests. You will welcome guests to the shop, assist them in selecting items that meet their needs, and provide friendly face during their visit You will operate the till to accurately record member purchases and process payments. You will also help with restocking shelves, checking dates, rotating stock, and keeping displays organised and appealing.

We're looking for volunteers who: - Have great communication skills and a friendly and empathetic nature. - Ability to follow staff guidance - No prior experience working or volunteering in a shop is required, however willingness to learn is important. - Ability to lift and carry heavy items - Comfortable communicating with people without a shared first language.

Ideally you will be able to commit to one 3 hour shift every other week.
