• Welcoming every visitor warmly and helping them understand and enjoy the House and collection • Giving insight into why and how we need to take care of Osterley • Learning about Osterley Park, so you can help visitors to enjoy the House • Developing a knowledge and understanding of Osterley’s history, and life and interiors in the 18th Century • Being aware of the needs of all visitors, including disabled people and families • Keeping a watchful eye and ensuring that visitors treat the collection and furnishings appropriately

Language Skills
This will suit you if you are: • Full of enthusiasm, hoping to inspire visitors of all ages • Warm and approachable and someone who loves being around people – you’ll meet a lot each day! • Interested in Osterley Park – you don’t need to know the history of the universe, but as a room guide you’ll pick up lots of facts and figures • Interested in history, art or architecture • Comfortable working on your own and with others • Able to offer a regular, reliable commitment • Available for either a 10:45am-4pm or 12:00noon -3pm shift • Aged 18 or over.
• Get to know Osterley Park and learn its secrets • Develop your knowledge and understanding of life and interiors in the 18th Century • Use your people skills to welcome and inspire visitors from all over the world • Be part of a varied and enthusiastic team and make new friends • Spend time in fabulous rooms jam-packed with history You’d also be joining Europe’s largest conservation charity and the wider National Trust team proudly looking after 780 miles of coastline, over 250,000 hectares of land, over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments, gardens, parks and nature reserves (including lighthouses, villages, pubs and a gold mine!). We are a unique charity welcoming millions of people each year and with a vision to open up places for the benefit of everyone, for ever.
