Volunteer Fundraising & Grants Research Assistant
We're expanding from Portsmouth into London and looking for a motivated volunteer to research and help apply for grants, funding opportunities, and startup finance available to small UK digital businesses. This is an ideal role for someone studying business, finance, marketing, or social enterprise who wants hands-on experience in startup fundraising, grant writing, and business development.

Research UK grants, government funding programmes, and startup finance opportunities relevant to a registered digital agency (Rubixcodes LTD). Identify eligibility criteria and application deadlines for each opportunity. Help draft and prepare grant applications, business cases, and supporting documents. Maintain a funding tracker (Google Sheet) logging every opportunity found — name, amount, deadline, eligibility, status. Support the Director in preparing materials for Start Up Loans, council grants, and innovation funding applications
Real-world experience in startup fundraising and grant writing for a UK registered company A strong reference letter from the company Director Portfolio evidence of funding research and grant applications you helped prepare Insight into how a real startup operates, plans finances, and secures funding Mentoring on business strategy, market research, and startup growth Potential to transition into a paid role based on performance and funding secured
5–8 hours per week, flexible schedule, fully remote. Minimum 8-week commitment.
