Urban Community Projects
You will oversee the charity’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and statutory requirements. Support preparation and review of annual accounts, monitor financial risks, and advise the board on mitigation. Assist in financial decision-making, investment strategies, and fundraising. Work closely with the CEO, support trustees, attend board meetings, and help implement all financial policies.
We are seeking a skilled Finance Trustee to support both Urban Community Projects (UCP) and the Mobile Food Hub, which we are currently registering as a charity. This dual role will involve overseeing the financial health and sustainability of both organisations, ensuring robust financial management, compliance with charity law, and strategic oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, or budgeting, with a passion for supporting community-focused initiatives. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and strategic financial thinking are essential to help guide the long-term success and impact of both UCP and the Mobile Food Hub.

As a Finance Trustee, you will help Mobile Food Hub, a soon-to-be-registered charity, continue fighting food insecurity and making a real difference in people’s lives. You will contribute your expertise to ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability and transparency, improve financial decision-making and governance, and play a pivotal role in supporting the charity’s mission to restore dignity, control, and hope to the communities it serves.
4 meetings each year, every 12 weeks. In person and virtual Board of Trustee meetings.
