Supporting the delivery of activity days and outings for children with complex medical needs
Support the organisation and delivery of activity days and outings for children with complex medical needs and their siblings. Activities could include arts and crafts, sports, sensory play, outings to the stables, Hever Castle, Chessington, and various other activities such as Clip and Climb and Sailing. Role responsibilities: • Help with the set up and clearing away of activities for the day • Welcome families and children on the day • Support children with complex medical needs and their siblings with activities, either 1:1 or in a group depending on the needs of the children attending

Creative & Design
- Creativity and enthusiasm in working with children and young people with complex medical needs - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Teamwork skills - Self-motivated - Able to work flexibly - Approachable, reliable and punctual - Ability to empathise with families in difficult situations - Discreet and able to adhere to confidentiality procedures - Commitment to equal opportunities and a non-judgmental attitude
- High quality training and support - Experience of supporting children and families with complex medical needs/additional needs - Become part of a friendly staff and volunteer team at The Maypole Project
Our holiday provisions take place in school holidays. Trips could be a half day or a full day long. We ask our volunteers to commit to as many days if possible.
