We want a volunteer who can: ✨ Create an engaging 1–3 minute video ✨ Edit footage (existing + new recordings) into a compelling story ✨ Add dynamic transitions, subtitles, light effects, light motion graphics ✨ Make the video “funder-ready” – professional but warm and human ✨ Capture the spirit of Lewisham and the community we serve ✨ Guide us on storyboard, tone, and best practices You can work fully remotely, though if you’re London-based, we’d love to capture local shots or short clips around Lewisham.
What difference will you make? This volunteer role will significantly strengthen DreamCatchers WorldWide (DCWUK) and our ability to support vulnerable communities across Lewisham. As a small but high-impact NFP, we aim to deliver high quality programmes. While our impact is meaningful, we currently lack the high-quality visual content needed to communicate our work in a compelling and engaging way. A professionally produced video will transform how we present our story to funders, supporters, and the wider community. Funders increasingly expect clear, concise evidence of impact, and video is one of the strongest formats to demonstrate this. By creating a dynamic and engaging video that showcases our programmes, highlights our founder’s story, and includes the voices and experiences of the people we support, the volunteer will directly increase our ability to secure funding and develop long-term partnerships. This video will also help raise awareness within Lewisham, encouraging more local residents to engage with our services. It will support our outreach efforts, strengthen collaborations with community organisations, and serve as a powerful tool across social media, presentations, events, and funding applications. Putting a human face to our mission is vital. Featuring our founder, our tutors, and our community participants will allow funders and partners to connect emotionally with the work we do. The volunteer’s creative input will help us tell this story with authenticity, professionalism, and impact. Overall, this volunteer will play a vital role in helping us grow. Their contribution will amplify our voice, deepen our reach, and support us in creating more opportunities for vulnerable people in Lewisham and beyond. Their work will directly help us build a stronger, more sustainable future for the communities we serve.
