Help our driver whilst on deliveries by loading the van, carrying parcels and collecting donations!
Driver Support Volunteers assist our Driver/Logistics Officer with food deliveries and collections across the local area. This includes helping to load and unload the van, carrying food parcels to people’s homes, and collecting surplus food donations from local supermarkets and other partners. You will work alongside our delivery driver to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly and efficiently, making a real difference in the local community while staying active. Language Skills, Organising & Planning
You will need to be a friendly, empathetic and non-judgemental character with a willingness to follow staff instruction and adhere to health and safety and food hygiene standards. Ability to carry heavy items, including food parcels and crates is crucial for this role!
You’ll join a friendly and welcoming team, connect with new people, and make a positive impact in your local community. Sufra also offers quarterly volunteer socials, bus travel reimbursement, full induction and training, and a professional reference for your contribution.
Ideally, you will be able to commit a volunteering session at least once per month!
