Felix Fresh
The Felix Project
Support Felix Fresh events by managing queues, handing out produce, and keeping the area tidy.
Felix Fresh brings up to 8 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables to locations across London, inviting the public to take produce home and help reduce food waste. As a volunteer, you’ll be on the frontline of ensuring no good food goes to waste, supporting the smooth running of these outdoor community events.

Volunteers should be friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with the public, as the role involves welcoming people, managing queues, and sharing information about The Felix Project. You’ll need to be comfortable lifting and handling boxes of fruit and vegetables, staying organised in a busy outdoor environment, and keeping the distribution area tidy and safe. Good teamwork, reliability, patience, and clear communication are essential. Basic IT skills are also required so you can book and manage your volunteer shifts through the online volunteer system.
By supporting Felix Fresh events, you help ensure large volumes of fresh fruit and vegetables are shared directly with London communities instead of going to waste, increasing access to nutritious food and strengthening The Felix Project’s mission to fight food waste and hunger.
These sessions are on a ad hoc basis. Dependent on each event but usually 3.5 to 4 hours.
