CoParent AI Ltd is a social enterprise developing an AI-powered support app for the 2.9 million single-parent families in the UK. We are seeking a volunteer legal advisor to support our early-stage growth. The role involves reviewing our business plan and company structure, advising on data protection and GDPR compliance for an AI product handling sensitive user data, reviewing terms of service and privacy policies, and general commercial legal guidance as we prepare for our first funding round. We are looking for a legal professional with experience in any of the following: commercial law, contract review, data protection/GDPR, intellectual property, or business compliance. Experience advising startups or social enterprises is a bonus but not essential. The ideal volunteer will help review business documents, advise on legal structure, and support our GDPR compliance as we develop an AI product that handles sensitive user data relating to single-parent families.
This is an opportunity to use your legal expertise to directly support one of the UK's most underserved communities — 2.9 million single-parent families. You will gain experience advising an AI-powered social enterprise at an exciting early stage, with the potential to be credited as a formal advisor. You will work alongside an advisory team that includes an MBE holder with 21 years of sector experience. This role offers flexible, remote working and the satisfaction of knowing your skills are helping to build something that will genuinely change lives.
