Warehouse volunteering at The Felix Project focuses on sorting, checking, and packing rescued surplus food so it can be redistributed to charities, schools, and community groups. Volunteers help check dates, maintain food quality, assemble orders, and support general warehouse operations, contributing directly to reducing food waste and getting good food where it’s most needed. In addition, volunteers can support the Felix Kitchen in Poplar, where surplus ingredients are cooked and packed into nutritious ready‑made meals that are then distributed across London.

Basic IT skills - internet & email
Repetitive, physical tasks - lifting/moving food crates, following instructions, staying organised, reliable, flexible, and happy working in a busy environment, team & community orientated. IT skills to book sessions. To understand H&S guidance and manual handling procedures.
Being a warehouse volunteer at The Felix Project means playing a vital role in sorting the rescued surplus food and ensuring it reaches people who need it most, whilst supporting a welcoming, community‑driven mission to fight food waste and hunger.
Session times vary dependant on depot location, session can be 5 to 7 hours, AM, PM or full day.
