There are lots of stories to tell about SGTM and the people associated with it. This is a great role for you if you enjoy detective work into local history and have an eye for a good story.
● Carrying out research online, in libraries and in archives ● Recording information and discoveries in a format that suits the way it will be used ● Produce content to help the church team share SGTM’s heritage with people through writing, social media or in person

The following skills will be useful: ● information gathering: searching databases, the internet, books ● source evaluation: determining the credibility, reliability, and potential bias of sources ● critical thinking: evaluating information for validity, spotting inconsistencies, ● data collection: gathering data (qualitative/quantitative) and combining it into a coherent whole ● attention to detail
● Putting existing research skills to good use or learning new ones ● Discovering and recording hidden information and evidence of SGTM’s heritage ● Seeing your research underpinning the project’s activities – from quizzes to trails to exhibitions ● Gaining experience relating to careers in heritage
