We’re a small charity with a big mission, and our CEO has a busy schedule. We’re looking for an organised, proactive volunteer to help maximise her time on strategic priorities. You will support the CEO in a variety of ways, including: Managing emails, highlighting urgent messages, and responding where appropriate Organising diaries, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes Researching topics for meetings and preparing reports Booking business travel (Uber, trains, and accommodation) for the CEO and staff Maintaining office correspondence and electronic filing systems Supporting HR and recruitment, including onboarding and training new staff Liaising with other departments, including Food Hub and Youth staff Solving basic IT issues and maintaining systems

Volunteers do not need formal qualifications, but the following skills will help you succeed: Strong organisational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Confident using Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and basic IT tools Ability to manage diaries, schedules, and correspondence Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information Initiative and problem-solving skills Reliability and commitment to agreed volunteering hours

Networking: Work closely with the CEO and other staff, building connections in the charity sector. Flexible volunteering: Adapt tasks and hours to suit your availability. We would like you to commit around 8 hours per week, with flexibility to suit your schedule. This could be 4 hours across 2 days or 2 hours each day over 4 days—whatever works best for you. We’re happy to discuss arrangements to make volunteering manageable and enjoyable.
