HMC is seeking a Chair to co-ordinate and lead the Board to implement Strategic Plan for 2025 -2028
HMC's current Chair is stepping down at the end of her 3 year term. HMC has a new Vice Chair, an experienced Treasurer and our CEO has been in post for over 18 months. The Chair is the key link between Board and staff; and responsible for managing Board meetings and, with the secretary, ensuring that decisions are implemented. The Chair also provides supervision and support to the CEO Duties include leading the Board in delivering the charity's vision, governance and compliance, board effectiveness and financial oversight. HMC has 5 staff, 40 volunteers and a budget of £300k plus.

We are particularly interested in applicants with: • Lived or learned experience of migration to the UK; and/or • Previous experience chairing a board of trustees; and/or • Senior management experience, as the Chair provides supervision and support to the CEO.

The Old Fire Station, 61 Leswin Road, London, is HMC's main office. Board meetings alternate between being in person or on line.
