Ability to empathise with the problems faced by VIPs Good time management skills, being able to schedule walks with VIPs and arriving at the meeting point on time. Committed & Reliable Compassionate Patient Trustworthy Good Listener, we would appreciate it if our volunteers could have interesting chats with VIPs whilst on journeys.

Volunteer journeys take place across Hammersmith & Fulham, covering W6 (Hammersmith, Fulham), W12 (Shepherd’s Bush), and parts of NW10 (Kensal Green). Volunteers support visually impaired people on local walks, appointments, cafés, parks, and everyday journeys within the borough.
W6 – Hammersmith & Fulham: Hammersmith Broadway, Fulham High Street, riverside walks, GP surgeries, and local community venues W12 – Shepherd’s Bush: Shepherd’s Bush Green, Westfield area, transport hubs, and nearby neighbourhoods NW10 – Kensal Green (parts): Residential areas, local shops, community centres, and bus or tube connections Journeys typically involve short walks and local public transport. Volunteers are matched to journeys close to their location where possible.
