All Saints Hatcham Community Centre is a charitable company whose objects are (i) to advance the well-being of the communities of the London Boroughs of Lewisham and Southwark by the provision of facilities, programmes and resources to meet the social, educational, recreational and leisure needs of those communities, and (ii) such other charitable purposes as the Trustees shall from time to time decide. We are looking for two new trustees to join our existing board of five and help oversee the operations of a thriving local community centre with some of the largest indoor spaces in the area.

The role involves becoming a company director of an incorporated registered charity limited by guarantee. Ideally candidates should have at least basic legal awareness of the responsibilities of a company director and a charity trustee. We employ a manager and deputy manager to run the Centre on a day-to-day basis. Our current treasurer has expressed a wish to retire and potential replacements for him would be most welcome.
You will have the satisfaction of enabling the operation of a large community centre which provides space for a wide range of community activities.
We have regular meetings once every 3 months usually on Wednesdays but discuss matters much more regularly via WhatsApp and less formal meetings or calls.
