Roots for Change UK
Passionate art teacher supporting asylum seekers and refugee learners to express themselves through creative activities. Fosters a safe, inclusive space to build confidence, reduce stress, and promote well-being through painting, crafts, and self-expression.
Join Roots for Change UK as a volunteer in our Art Workshop sessions in Camden! We're looking for a kind, creative, and patient individual to help run engaging art activities for asylum seekers and refugees—many of whom are vulnerable and facing isolation, trauma, or stress. You’ll support participants in expressing themselves through painting, drawing, crafts, and other creative methods in a safe, welcoming space. The workshops run twice a month and focus on boosting confidence, improving mental wellbeing, and building community connections through creativity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about art, community support, and making a real difference in people’s lives. You don’t need to be a professional artist—just open-hearted and ready to help others feel empowered and included.
