Detailed Description

As an adult volunteer with Army Cadets, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of young cadets, but don’t worry – no prior military or cadet experience is required. What is expected of you, however, is a commitment to supporting cadets, being a positive role model, and continuously developing your skills. Volunteering with Army Cadets requires dedication and time, as you’ll be helping to lead activities, train cadets, and support their personal growth. Flexibility is important, as your involvement will include evenings, normally 1 or 2 per week and occasional weekend commitments.

Why these skills are required

If you’re aged 18 or over and looking to help young people succeed, you can join us! Commitment? Most units meet one or two evenings a week, with optional weekend training, events, and camps. Cost? Volunteering with the Army Cadets is low-cost. Uniforms are provided, and the cost of most activities are covered. Time Commitment

Your involvement will include evenings, normally 1 or 2 per week and occasional weekend commitments, averaging once every few months after training. We have volunteering opportunities across all 22 of our detachments across south east London. You will be matched to a detachment based on your location and availability.
