One off volunteering at our local event, Hampstead Heath Walk
Maggie’s Royal Free
The Hampstead Heath Walk and Family Fun Day volunteers will help us marshall the 5k or 10k route on Hampstead Heath, register participants or help with crafts and activities in our Maggie's Royal Free centre.
We are hosting a new event this summer called the Hampstead Heath Walk and Family Fun Day! The event includes a 5k or 10k sponsored walk or run around the heath, along with fun, family friendly activities at our centre like crafts and other activities, and also food and drink. We would be looking for volunteers to help us register participants and marshal the route and direct participants on Hampstead Heath, and help afterwards in the centre with the activities on offer. This may be explaining, supervising or helping with the activities and helping to tidy up as well. The event runs from 8.30am until 2pm. We would ask volunteers to arrive at 8am. The morning is likely to be busier until about 12/12.30pm so if you are unable to stay the full time until 2pm, that would be fine, but please let me know.

We would need volunteers who would be happy to be stationed on Hampstead Heath and direct participants around the route, or people who would be keen to help with crafts and activities in the centre, whether this is managing an activity, tidying up or directing people.
You will recieve full training on the day, opportunity to meet other people and as we are hoping it will be a lovely day, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Hampstead Heath while helping at an event to raise money for anyone affected by cancer.
