We’re seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Manager to help grow our income, and organise events
As Volunteer Fundraising Manager, you’ll lead efforts to secure funding and build sustainable income streams for HomelessNest.org. . You’ll develop and implement a fundraising plan, apply for grants and trusts, and nurture relationships with donors and sponsors. You’ll also coordinate community fundraising events and campaigns, and support volunteer fundraising officers and event coordinators. This role involves working closely with trustees and volunteers, with flexible hours and remote collaboration.

Volunteer Fundraising Manager Organisation: HomelessNest.org Location: Flexible (remote with occasional meetings with Trustees in London) Commitment: Approx. 6–8 hours per week Type: Voluntary / Unpaid About Us HomelessNest.org is a registered UK charity committed to supporting individuals and families who are homeless, vulnerably housed, or otherwise at risk. We provide grants, essential items, advocacy, and practical services that create pathways to stability and independence. The Role We are seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Manager to help us grow our income, organise events, strengthen donor relationships, and ensure our services can reach more people in need. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy, working closely with trustees and volunteers to build sustainable income streams. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a fundraising plan aligned with our mission. Research and apply for grants, trusts, and foundations. Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners. Coordinate community fundraising events and campaigns. Support and oversee volunteer fundraising officers and event coordinators. Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and reporting requirements. Person Specification We are looking for someone with: Experience or strong aptitude in fundraising, bid writing, or donor relations (professional or voluntary). Excellent communication and networking skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. A proactive, creative approach to problem‑solving. This role is vital to sustaining and expanding our outreach to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. With the loss of our donated premises and increasing demand for our services, we urgently need to grow our income to continue providing essentials like meals, hygiene kits, and pathways to mental health and employment support. Your work will directly enable us to reach more people, deliver more workshops, and build long-term stability for those at risk. By securing funding and strengthening donor relationships, you’ll help us turn compassion into action and ensure our charity thrives in the face of growing need.
