The Boat Race 2026: Volunteers
The Boat race Company Ltd
Volunteer roles at The Boat Race 4 April 2026 in spectator services, merch sales and more.
The Boat Race is London's Party by the River, and is the first mass spectator event of the year. Steeped in history, it's now one of the world’s oldest and most famous amateur sporting events where student athletes from Oxford and Cambridge Universities take to the River Thames between Putney and Mortlake to race in eight-oared boats. Volunteers help to deliver a fantastic experience for the approximately 200,000 spectators who watch the race for free. Roles include programme and merch sales and fan zone wayfinding.
