The day centre provides a sense of community and support for vulnerable people who would otherwise be isolated by their personal circumstances. Training offered Customer service – volunteers will be shown how to engage with customers and how to answer the most common queries. Commercial Awareness – volunteers will be shown how the layout, the displays and the cleanliness of the shop can lead to higher sales. They’ll be taught how to decipher between valuable and invaluable donations. They’ll be trained on coding and pricing of different items sold in the shop.
