Volunteer Telephone Be-friender

Irish Community Services

Under the Scheme, a trained volunteer is introduced to a group of people from the Irish Community who have requested contact regularly over the phone. This call will help ensure people feel connected, less isolated and supported with any concerns they may have.

Detailed Description

- To provide warm, friendly check in calls to our clients. - To provide a listening ear for the clients. - To pass on important information and work with staff if the clients have any questions or concerns. - To record the call on our database and keep notes up to date. - Volunteers will be required to be available for at least 4 hours every week.
