Helpline Volunteer

Allergy UK

We are seeking dedicated volunteers who have experience of supporting people emotionally (personally or professionally) . Experience of allergy or support work over the telephone would also be desirable but not essential as full bespoke training will be provided.

Detailed Description

If you are passionate about supporting others then we would love to hear from you! Our Helpline Advisors deal with thousands of enquiries every year and we are looking for a dedicated volunteer to support people over the telephone who have queries or concerns about allergy. The volunteer will also support Our translation card service by using software to assemble translation cards and to post them out. This role will support the work of the Helpline Manager, Helpline Supervisor and Helpline Advisor. We are committed to supporting our volunteers and we will provide bespoke training to enable a volunteer to develop skills in handling our calls and providing support to our service users.
