Support Worker

Brighter Futures Project

We are looking for a supportive and empathetic individual who will be comfortable working with our service users (who have learning disabilities) both within our hub in Woolwich or in the community. The person will be supporting and encouraging our members to complete activities and engage with others.

Detailed Description

We are looking some a support worker who can work with our young people at our day centre based in Royal Arsenal. The person will be expected to: * Support our staff when supporting our young people * Support and encourage our service users to engage and complete activities within the hub and outside of the hub *Accompany our service users to activities and support them in the community *Be comfortable leading activities set for service users *Assist with general tidy up and cleaning *Assist with some administrative duties where necessary * Guide and show visitors round as and when needed

Why these skills are required

We are looking for a range of activities for our service users and therefore looking for people who have a range of skills they can bring to the hub, this can include photography, woodwork, gardening, arts and crafts, pottery, sewing, counselling, massage, beauty therapy, yoga, dance or music
