ETE Volunteer Mentor

Prison Advice and Care Trust

The Employment Training and Education (ETE) Mentoring service is responsible for providing support, guidance, training and development opportunities to those referred into the service for support.

Detailed Description

Purpose of this role: We are looking for volunteers to support and mentor referred service users to successfully engage with education, training volunteering and/or employment. Working alongside Maximus ETE Advisors and other partners working within the criminal justice system. Time commitment & location: Mentoring opportunities take place Monday-Friday only, between 9am and 5pm. A minimum of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Opportunities are available at the following locations: London - Bexleyheath Borough, Camden, Stockwell, Uxbridge, Wimbledon, Hackney, Tottenham, Leytonstone, Croydon, Hounslow, Richmond, Clerkenwell, Ealing, Wandsworth, Bethnal Green, Enfield, Hornchurch What you will be doing: Researching and developing links with local services Meeting service users and supporting with ETE activities To acknowledge positive qualities and skills Working to meet the needs identified by the Maximus ETE Advisor Completing 1-day Mentoring training and 1-day online training Recording information including behaviour, compliance and engagement Involvement in group interventions and 1:1 mentoring
