Befriend a child in care
Visit a young person in care once a month for a minimum of two years. Build a long lasting relationship built on fun. You will be supported by a dedicated coordinator and receive ongoing training for your role.
Befriending, Buddying & Mentoring
Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Counselling, Managing People
Communication Creativity Active Listening Driving license NOT NECESSARY
We provide: • Full induction and comprehensive specialist training for the role • Forums and sessions with other Independent volunteers • Payment of agreed expenses and reimbursement of travel costs • Support from a Coordinator.
