Walking Volunteer
Volunteer Centre Greenwich
You will be leading a small group (usually 5-12 people) of people on a local walk following one of several pre-arranged routes. This might be along the river, or to one of our local community centres. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering with us to come along and see what it’s about.
Our Wellbeing Walk and Talk weekly session is part of our Emotional Wellbeing Project, bringing isolated and vulnerable members of our community over the age of 18 together for a weekly social walk finishing with a cup of tea at our office. Past members of the walking group have described it as "Nice and peaceful, it makes me feel safe" "It's like going on a trip, an experience to go places I've never been to before, makes me feel happy and I enjoy the walk, it's straightforward, anyone can do it"
