With others deliver an exciting and challenging activities for our Beavers, Cubs or Scouts.

Detailed Description

1st Cheam Scouts has been ‘working’ in the Cheam community for over 90 years a. We offer a wide range of activities at our weekly meetings during school term times and other outdoor activities for boys and girls in the age ranges of 6 to 14.5 years. Become a Team Member with one of our ‘sections’ Beavers (6-8yrs), Cubs (8-10yrs) or Scouts (10.5 -14yrs) and use your creative and motivational skills with others to plan and deliver a balanced programme of fun activities and brilliant opportunities for our young people. Why these skills are required

No minimum skills required, just a real interest in working with other adults to provide a great programme and experiences for our Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. The younger age groups are more aligned to craft and games, the older age groups to adventure, challenge and skills. We also run some optional nights away activities at weekends and during schools holidays. What is in it for you

Volunteering with Beavers, Cubs or Scouts can be great fun. It's very rewarding, interesting and social and a great way to develop your own leadership and organisational skills and build you personal capability and confidence.

Time Commitment

Time commitment is during school term time to the evening meeting for whichever 'section' (Beavers, Cubs or Scouts) - approx 2 hours each meeting - that you wouldlike to help out with. In addition, there is sometimes some planning and preparation work to be completed at home and, if you wish, opportunity to join in leading nights away activities (depending on section).
