Volunteer Befriending
Positive Change
Befriending a person who is suffering from social isolation and loneliness.
As a Positive Change Befriending Volunteer, you’ll be paired with a Beneficiary who has been assessed for our Befriending Service. Once paired, you’ll visit your Beneficiary once a week for a maximum of 2 hours, providing companionship, & giving a person who might ordinarily be isolated & lonely, someone to talk to. You might decide to go for a walk with your Beneficiary, play a game of Scrabble or simply just stay indoors and have a chat over a cup of tea. We don’t want to restrict you or your Beneficiary, we just want you to be yourself, and make friends with a person who would benefit.
