We are looking for mentors to support young people aged 11-18 stay in education, are not involved in gang culture or anti-social behaviour, and work hard to achieve the goals they set.
Do YOU want to make a difference in a young person’s life? Do YOU have a few hours spare a week? Our nationally recognised Mentoring project matches an at-risk young person with a trained mentor who encourages them to make positive choices. Our mentoring focuses on ensuring young people aged 11-18 stay in education, are not involved in gang culture or anti-social behaviour, and work hard to achieve the goals they set. As a mentor, you will required to commit for 12 months and meet a young person weekly or fortnightly for up to two hours. The mentoring will take place in the community, so local coffee shops, libraries for example. You will be provided with mentoring and safeguarding training.

Mentoring communicates that a young person is important and worth spending time with. • Your life experience growing up can be shared with a young person and make a difference in their lives. • Mentoring is a way that you can help to shape the future of the community in which you live. • It provides support to the young people and families who are struggling the most. • Mentoring can provide a consistent and safe environment for them to thrive in. • You will be provided with training and regular socials with other mentors. • You will reimbursed for expenses.
Minimum of 1hr every fortnight for 12 months
