Turner's House stewards provide a high quality, friendly and informative engagement for visitors. They deliver our front of house services and make Sandycombe Lodge accessible for as many people as possible.
Purpose of the Role • Provide a high quality, friendly and informative engagement with visitors and be the welcoming face of Turner’s House • Support the development of visitors’ understanding and appreciation of the arts through engagement with Sandycombe Lodge • Make Sandycombe Lodge accessible for as many people as possible Tasks • Provide a welcoming presence for visitors to Turner’s House • Answer questions from visitors or direct them to an appropriate source of information • Provide assistance to visitors with specific access requirements, if needed • To be vigilant at all times, with regard to the safety and security of visitors, colleagues and yourself and to alert staff of any problems quickly and clearly • Develop a good understanding of the history of Sandycombe Lodge, J.M.W. Turner and his art • Front of house duties, including issuing tickets, feedback forms and selling items from the gift shop

Sandycombe Lodge 40 Sandycoombe Road
We advise using journey planners to source the best route on your day of travel via public transport, to allow for any unforeseeable transport changes. However, please see our brief guidance below; By Car As this is a residential area, we advise avoiding travel by car where possible. There is no parking on Sandycoombe Road. Please note that coaches and buses are not allowed to wait or drop off visitors on Sandycoombe Road. By Train Mainline & Overground/Underground (District Line) trains all run to Richmond station. The nearest station is St Margarets, which is a short walk away. By Bus From Richmond station, the H37 stops at Sandycoombe Road. Frequent services also run on the 490/H22/R70/R68 where you should alight at Marble Hill Park/Crown Rd stop, it is then a 3 min walk. On Foot From Richmond, it is just over a mile to walk; take the towpath which leads you into Marble Hill Park.
