Barnes Green Centre Reception/Admin Volunteer

As a reception volunteer you will provide a friendly welcome for our members to the Barnes Green Centre, and help with general reception duties.
Our three vibrant social centres aim to provide a place where older people in the borough of Richmond can come together and enjoy a range of activities, exercise classes, wellbeing sessions and social events. As a reception volunteer at our Barnes Green Centre, you will welcome members to the centre and act as a first point of call for enquiries. The role will include answering the phone, taking payments for activities and recording attendance at sessions. You will offer practical help to ensure a friendly atmosphere in the centre, spending time interacting with members and generally making sure they are happy. Help needed on Mondays 9.30am - 12.30pm

Person Specification: • A warm and friendly personality • Good organisational skills including record keeping • Confident to handle cash • Practical skills and willing to lend a hand • The ability to work as part of a team • Liking for and empathy with older people • Reliability and trustworthiness • Ability to respect clients’ confidentiality at all times
