The South Croydon Day Centre for the Retired is a registered charity aiming at serving the older people in South Croydon, helping to alleviate isolation and loneliness. It provides meals and stimulating games/activities and organises outings. As a helper/volunteer, you can play some of the vital roles to sustain the service, including befriending the visitors, preparing and serving refreshments and meals, helping with activities and craft sessions, assisting in tidying up the centre and the small garden. The centre aims to be a friendly and welcoming place for our visitors, regardless of their social/cultural backgrounds.
