Disabled Riding Support
Diamond Riding Centre
We need volunteers to lead our horses and ponies for disabled children and adults, and to help around the stables. So, if you like horses and can spare some time and want to do something really rewarding, Diamond would love to meet you. You don’t need to have any experience of horses – we will train you.
We need volunteers to lead our horses and ponies for disabled children and adults, and to help around the stables. Diamond would be unable to operate without our excellent team of volunteers. So, if you like horses and can spare some time and want to do something really rewarding, Diamond would love to meet you. You don’t need to have any experience of horses – we will train you. This is a popular volunteering opportunity so there is a waiting list but if you are interested please get in touch. Following induction training you will be able to help at riding sessions every other Saturday and you'll get to know the horses, the disabled riders and the other volunteers.

Volunteers need to be confident when working near horses and when supporting people with disabilities. Volunteers need to be physically fit and able to work as part of a team in order to provide a safe environment of the disabled riders.
The disabled riders benefit enormously from the opportunity to ride and this can't happen with out the support of volunteers. This is the chance to ensure this amazing experience can continue to be offered. As a volunteer you will learn about disabled riding, be part of a dedicated team and develop new skills. You will be able to help with the horses and in the stables.
