Community Centre Trustees to help oversee the running of a thriving, successful facility in Isleworth

Detailed Description

Volunteers interested in supporting a local charity by becoming a trustee. An interest in the local area and an understanding of the needs of local people is preferable along with: • The ability to advocate for under-represented groups • A willingness to help with fundraising and promoting centre activities • A desire to help our staff & volunteers run this vibrant community hub • Useful skills to support the growth and development of the charity The charity is IvybridgeLink, we oversee the running of the BridgeLink Community Centre on the Ivybridge Estate in Isleworth. Trustees help to support this successful, thriving centre as it meets the needs of the local community. The BridgeLink Centre hosts a variety of activities from a Community Pantry to Youth Clubs, drumming classes, coffee mornings and gardening club. As a volunteer trustee you will help oversee the running of the centre, assist with fundraising and help direct policy. It is a volunteer role, requiring a commitment to one monthly meeting and assisting with centre events where possible. We're especially keen to hear from people with a knowledge of the local area and its needs along with experience or expertise in any of the following: Youth Projects. Fundraising/Bid Writing. Time Commitment

The trust meets for formal meetings once every two months but trustees are expected to meet the staff and volunteers and support centre events whenever possible.
