Premises Support / Caretaking - voluntary
Hampton and Hampton Hill Voluntary Care Group
As a local charity we only have a small team of dedicated caretakers who do their best to maintain the building but they could do with an extra pair of hands to support them.
Our community centre offers space for local people to hire rooms and hosts a range of community activities such the Greenwood Men’s Club, yoga classes and theatre groups. We need to keep our building in tip-top condition and also need to be able to open in the evenings. As a local charity we only have a small team of dedicated caretakers who do their best to maintain the building but they could do with an extra pair of hands to support them. Commitment can be as little as one 3 hrs a week - so if you have some time to spare please get in touch.

Building & Maintenance, Carpentry, Cleaning & Tidying
This role could involve assisting our team with hall lettings during weekends and evenings and requires some degree of moving and handling of chairs and tables. During the day it will be to support the team in organising room hires requirements setting up tables, chairs and refreshments. Some minor maintenance can also be part of this role id desired.
Historically we have had a strong team of volunteers supporting the management of our Centre. Those who join out team often tel us they gain a sense of "community" and makes them feel they are doing something for local people. This can be a useful role for those looking to return to work after a period of absence, for people wishing to give back to their local community or those who want a volunteering role with minimal responsibility.
