We are looking for people to join our team of Befriender’s who are held in very high regard and support people from the community who are seeking a connection with someone who knows the local area. Good listening and telephone skills are important but a generally positive and friendly manner will mean that you will be ideal for the role.
Supporting people who are isolated or feeling lonely can be a hugely rewarding experience. Listening and offering companionship either face to face or over the phone can sometimes be a person’s only regular contact. Our team of Befriender’s are held in very high regard and support people from the community who are seeking a connection with someone who knows the local area. Good listening and telephone skills are important but a generally positive and friendly manner will mean that you will be ideal for the role. If you have an hour or two to spare and want to give something back to the local community, you may be the perfect person to join our team.
