Drivers are urgently needed for the meals-on-wheels vans to deliver food to local elderly people. Volunteer drivers will be accompanied by the escort who will take the meal into the person's home. This is an important service as it also provides a daily check on the clients. Drivers and escorts will need to respond appropriately to any problems they encounter having been given relevant recommendations. Our service runs Monday - Friday for 2.5 hours each day, and we are looking for a pool of volunteers to cover the week. If interested in this role please contact: Kelvin Knight/Tommy Simpson, suttonlodge@btconnect.com, 0208 642 5496 and apply through their website: http://www.suttonlodge.org.uk/ quoting you found out about it through Volunteer Centre Sutton.
