The Peoples Hub is seeking passionate and computer-literate volunteers to join our remote Ada's Army

Join The Peoples Hub's "Ada's Army" in London! We need computer-literate, passionate volunteers to champion women's rights and support children remotely. Commit 5+ hours/month (short/long term) to uncover impactful work by London groups, support local campaigns, and contribute to vital reports on community solutions, especially those by women-led social enterprises. You'll engage with local people/government, identify solutions, network, and virtually attend UK-wide events, including at Parliament. Perfect for those wanting to help people who are homeless and children in London and beyond.

Why these skills are required

Who we are looking for: A strong passion for women's rights and helping women and children. Excellent computer literacy and comfort with online research and communication tools. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. An interest in social enterprise, community development, and local policy. Ability to commit a minimum of 5 hours per month. Prior experience in research, advocacy, or community work is a plus, but not essential.

As a volunteer, you will: Discover and document the great work of organisations across London: Uncover and share the stories of local initiatives making a real difference in the lives of women and children. This includes identifying and highlighting social enterprises run by women. Support Shop Local campaigns: Help promote local businesses and initiatives that strengthen the London economy and community, with a particular focus on those empowering women. Contribute to impactful reports: Gather information and insights to contribute to reports on local needs, solutions, and successes in London, especially concerning social enterprises led by women and broader women's rights issues. Engage with local government: Assist in gathering information and fostering connections with local MPs and councillors to inform advocacy efforts related to women's and children's welfare. Connect with the heart of London: Conduct remote outreach, speak to local people, listen to their experiences, and understand the challenges and opportunities within the borough through virtual means. Identify local solutions: Research and document innovative solutions being implemented to address local issues, particularly those focused on empowering women and protecting children. Network and build connections: Virtually connect with a diverse range of individuals and organisations committed to social impact in London and across the UK. Attend our UK-wide events: Participate remotely in our forums and roundtable discussions, including opportunities to virtually attend events at the Houses of Parliament. Potential to represent London: With experience and demonstrated commitment, you may have the opportunity to represent London within The Peoples Hub network and at relevant virtual or in-person events.The opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of women and children.
