Help us facilitate Bereavement Walks and Talks in Richmond Park and Bushy Park!

Detailed Description

Getting the right support at the right time can make the world of difference as people try to navigate their way through their grief. Our Walk and Talk Volunteers offer an invaluable outlet for bereaved people to come together and enjoy the benefits of being out in nature and accessing peer support from others who are also grieving. As a Bereavement Walk and Talk Volunteer, you’ll facilitate the walk, ensuring there are enough volunteers, welcoming newcomers and registering everyone, making introductions and ensuring that the walk goes smoothly.

What skills are required for this role

Basic IT skills - internet & email

Why these skills are required

Ability to walk for approximately an hour, be friendly and approachable, enjoy outdoors, have a genuine interest in other people.

What is in it for you

We will set you up for success by providing one day Walk and Talk training and ensure you receive ongoing support via quarterly supervision meetings. We will send you our monthly volunteer e-newsletter with all the latest updates, information and invites to our social events and forums.

Time Commitment

This is a monthly commitment of 2 - 3 hours in either Denbies, Richmond Park or Bushy Park. The walk itself will take approx. 1 hour.
