The Temple Church is one of London’s most beautiful medieval churches, the birthplace of Magna Carta and a wonderful place in which to spend time: for a service, a concert or simply for a quiet and restorative visit. Our people make the Church even more special – and our committed volunteers are often the first to extend their warm welcome to anyone who comes to share in this beautiful space. We have a number of volunteering openings in a range of roles – from Welcome Desk attendants to tour guides, altar servers, events management and merchandising. • A friendly personality with a helpful approachable manner • Good communication and customer service skills • A positive, helpful and flexible attitude • Good judgement, an ability to think on your feet • An ability to keep calm and summon help when needed • A willingness to learn about the history of the Temple Church and both Inner and Middle Temple • Be in sympathy with the values and policies of the Temple Church • Willing to undertake training

The Temple Church is located within the Temple just off Fleet Street. The nearest Underground stations are Temple and Blackfriars on the Circle and District lines. Access for pedestrians after 8.30pm on weekdays and all weekend is via Tudor Street only.
