Could you be the first person to help a Bromley resident seeking help on a wide range of issues?
You will be taking initial telephone calls from people, clarifying the issues they require help with and directing them to the appropriate source of support, You will need to record your activities in a database, making sure records are accurate and complete. Minimum of one day per week. Hours: 9-5, or, two shifts per week: 9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm. Commitment of at least 6 months. Ability to understand people who may be distressed when they phone, not have English as their first language, etc Be able to explain the next steps in progressing their issue a way they understand. Be able to enter the details of the phone call on to a data base accurately
Learn about the wide range of issues that people have to deal with; learn about the local pathways available to support them; gain a lot of experience talking people from all walks of life.
