Help set up, run and close up a Lunch Club that will help local residents connect with each other.
Carib Eats will be starting the Carib Eats Canteen/Lunch Club We will be welcoming local residents to sit with others enjoy a meal, connect with others and get light touch support. Currently we need volunteers who can give 5hrs of their time each week to help support a vulnerable Hackney resident who may be experiencing social isolation and loneliness. They will be attending the weekly Canteen. By becoming a Carib Eats Canteen Volunteer you will enhance ’ the quality of a local resident's life by supporting through connection. Which will improve their confidence and help them focus on their Health and Well being. This person might need support in one or more of the following areas: • Social Isolation and Loneliness • Confidence Building • Basic IT support/smart phone queries & setting up emails

This role is ideal for people wanting to support, encourage and impact positively to people within their community -in the Voluntary Sector. It will help build people skills in Health & Social Care, support work, information and guidance, mentoring, building a stronger Hackney community or just spending time talking with local people in need.
