Primary purpose: Lead as an online moderator. Welcome and guide new members to ensure a positive onboarding experience. Monitor and moderate discussions to maintain a respectful and productive environment. Maintain and update FAQs. Secondary purpose: Ability to maintain consistent, on-brand voice Work alongside Membership to add and build new member channels Create new self-care topics to boost members engagement and well-being. Optional: Attend the next local Making Time for Black Health
Do you have 1-2 hours free three days a week to be our Discord Online Community Volunteer? Want to be part of our online community? Do you have experience using Discord.com or a similar online community membership? Develop your IT skills and learn a new social media platform - training will be provided via Zoom. Inclusion is one of our core values and we’re proud to have diverse members from the Black community. Making Time for Black Health Events is set-up to serve the Black community by providing access to Black therapists. Our popular peer-to-peer support on social media platform Disord is committed to providing a safe online platform to access Black therapists and free mental health support whilst making new friends with other members.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: - Experience using online communities. - Excellent IT, Google Drive and WhatsApp skills. - Strong, flexible approach to technical problem-solving skills. - Ability to work remotely without supervision. - Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines. - Proactively communicate new membership ideas with confidence. - Interest in working with a small charitable organisation and willingness to work as part of a small team. - Interest in mental health and addressing health inequalities by tackling stigmas.
Your time will make a meaningful difference in promoting mental health awareness and supporting the Black community. Flexibility: Enjoy the convenience of remote work by choosing your own flexible hours working one to two hours a day. Give back reward: Your contribution will help a small Black mental health non-profit CIC organisation grow to help more people in the community. Skill Development: Enhance your event management skills in a new sector. Networking: Grow your network by connecting with community leaders, charities etc. Recognition: Receive acknowledgment from Making Time for Black Mental Health Events Team and a reference for your contribution.
