Richmond Talking Newspaper
Collecting interesting local news stories to be recorded for our Visually Impaired residents of the borough.
Richmond Talking News (www.rtn.org.uk) collects local news from a variety of different (mainly online) sources each week to ensure that our visually impaired listeners are kept in touch with what’s going on in the neighbourhood. These local stories are then collated into individual news script bundles to be voiced by the four rostered readers of the week. Guidance will be given to any enthusiastic volunteer. All contributions are made remotely. We would welcome the addition of a couple of extra pairs of hands for our production team. Qualities needed - enquiring mind - interested in local affairs - knows the difference between topical, timely and relevant - what makes a good headline story The commitment will be around one week in three For more information, please feel free to call Valerie Munro on 07887 716 777 or email valerie@rtn.org.uk

You would be a vital part in this missing link.
satisfaction that you are performing a vital role for a vulnerable and isolated part of the community
