Activity Station
Hands on helping with face to face activities run for children and adults with disabilities.
We are looking for dedicated volunteers who can join and give us a hand during our monthly Sunday activity events in the afternoon and during holiday activities which we run for both children and adults with learning disabilities. Our monthly activity events are located in Barnes so would need to be able to travel to and from this area. Previous experience of working with those with disabilities is preferred but not necessary. Any necessary training would be provided.

We would like our volunteers to be able to communicate well with our young people and adults as we want them and yourselves to feel relaxed and have a good time during the activities.
Free necessary training e.g. safeguarding, first aid provided We can offer free hot or cold drink/s (non alcoholic) during the events we run. We would be happy to provide a reference for future employers if asked.
We would ideally like someone who can attend every or at least most Sunday events once a month (usually the last Sunday of the month except during holidays) from 1.30-5pm throughout the year. Holiday dates/times can be negotiated as these tend to differentiate depending on activities provided.

Our monthly activities are mainly located at a local arts centre in Barnes, London. Full address can be given following discussion. Holiday activities are usually off site.
